Pier Yoga is Back!! Please note as of June 8th yoga on the pier is back. the 9:15 power flow will be taken off the schedule and we will put the 8:30 pier yoga back on. One of our summer favourites. Please note: Pier Yoga is weather depending it will move to the studio in case of rain.
Friday 10:45 Yin Yoga will take a break for the summer and return in the fall.
Loree Forest Hike and Yoga: Last Day for warm/hot yoga is Wednesday June 27th. Starting Wednesday July 4th hike and Yoga at Loree Forest is back. We will meet at the entrance to the Loree Forest Loop at 5:30, hike in with yoga on Sol's Deck and hike out!!

Yoga Detox Week; Get summer ready! Join Kara Davison and Shelagh Mckee for a week of detox, clean eating. Reduce your toxins and cleanse with a detox and yoga. Kara Davison, the owner of SoulShine Wellness will be hosting a week long food based cleanse accompanied by unlimited yoga.
The Yoga Detox week will be offered from Sunday June 17 until the 24th. This is a food based cleanse with an optional juice day in the middle, where Kara will prepare the juices if needed. The total cost is $110 including the information sessions, unlimited support throughout the week, in depth detox manual with tips for success, including recipes and herbal teas, plus unlimited yoga all week.
Step into the healing grace of Reiki:
For anyone interested in trying a gentle, alternative healing treatment, Catherine Mattice is now offering Reiki treatments from her home studio in Clarksburg. Deeply rooted in Eastern traditions, Reiki is a non-invasive energy healing treatment to balance the seven major chakras, or energy centers, located along the spine. Balancing the chakras helps elevate energy levels and restore physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. Each treatment is approximately an hour. The grace of Reiki energy invokes a gentle, calming experience. Catherine is a certified Master Reiki Practitioner and a certified 200 hour RYT yoga instructor. Yin Yoga with Stephanie Needham, Friday's at 10:45 am, Mantra Studio in Thornbury

A yin practice invites you to pause for some time at the edges of your true guide. Steeping with attention and intention into connective tissue/fascial vibrancy available to us, we follow the fluidity of this tissue guiding us to cultivate undammed streams. This practice threads together the science and nature of connective tissue as target tissue in a yin practice, Daoist's principals and mindfulness meditation.

Introducing Sundara Prana
At Mantra Yoga Studio we are always looking for ways to better serve our yoga community. With that in mind, we are pleased to announce a new offering at the studio – Sundara Prana.Sundara Prana translates literally to mean Beautiful Energy and is a new initiative from Laura Barnes. Laura views yoga primarily as the beautiful movement of energy throughout the body and the mind creating change by shifting old energetic patterns and intends to impart that with this one on one approach. “Over the course of 20 years of practicing and teaching, the remarkable changes that are so gracefully created through the practice of yoga have never ceased to amaze me. On a physical, psychological and spiritual level, this lovely movement and the opportunity that it creates to actually connect with oneself is really the answer to all of our questions. Our practice gives us the keys to open the doors and find the information that lives in us all.”
“I look forward to the chance to help people help themselves.” Sundara Prana is an opportunity to work one on one with Laura and address your specific challenges with breath, meditation and postures in the privacy of a one on one setting. She will also refer to a network of alternative healing specialists as required to completely serve your needs.
